As a martial arts instructor, after a few physical classes in a day, a good night sleep is all I need to recharge myself for the next day.

I received the Origin Superior Coolmax® Latex Pillow for an unbiased review early this year. The pillow was featured as one of the Best 8 Pillow in Singapore. It is a latex regular-shaped pillow. When I unboxed it, I felt that it is compact and heavier than my current memory foam pillow. The pillow is of high quality with a removable zippered cover. However, my first thought was that this pillow could be a little too firm for me.

I am very picky in bedding because I understand the significant of sleep towards health.

After the first night with Origin pillow, to my surprise, my neck pain that has been bothering me for months recently was gone. After a few nights with it, I am pretty sure that my constant neck pain was due to my previous pillow that did not support my neck well. I think this pillow is firm enough to hold my head at a healthy angle, yet soft enough to alleviate pressure.

In the past, I have tried contour pillows with memory foam, as well as regular pillows with natural cotton and microfibers. However, this pillow offers a balance of support and pressure relief (for me). On the other hand, because of its shape and firmness, the pillow is suitable for side sleeper rather than back sleeper. So, please try and feel it first as each person’s body-build is different.
